Platte County Federated Republican Women

Congratulations to Alex Olson, our 6th district Breckenridge Scholar.
Each of the 9 MoFRW districts sends a Breckenridge Scholar to the state capitol in March each year. The group tours the buildings and meets legislators.
Alex is a senior at Park Hill South High School and is active in many student clubs. She spoke at the MoFRW 6th district meeting and described her interest in Republican activities
I hope to be our District's Breckenridge scholar because as Carrie Almond, the MoFRW president recently said, "Republican women are the heart and soul of the Republican party." I have seen that "heart and soul" in action as women talk around the table at PCFRW dinners, or gather together at the campaign headquarters. I also see the direction our country is headed in and it has little to do with the freedom our founding fathers fought for. The "fathers" of our country may have started the revolution, but the strength, wisdom and power of women are needed to continue the fight. We need our "heart and soul" to preserve those freedoms

All across the great state of Missouri, members "Make a Difference" every day. Some in small ways, some huge, but their passion for God, Country and the Republican Party keeps the rest of us strong, resolute and dedicated to our mission of getting Republicans elected. They are shining examples for all of us and as we meet today to honor them, we should look in the mirror and ask - how can we be more like them? How can we give selflessly of ourselves as they have and help make America a better country?
